This 40-hour Hazwoper Initial class is taught in the classroom with hands on instruction for a hazardous materials worker or handler is designed to satisfy the requirements of CAL/OSHA Title 8 §5192 for initial training of such individuals and helps employees avoid exposure to hazardous materials.
HAZWOPER 40 Hour Training
is required for workers whose jobs put them in contact with hazardous substances. Our HAZWOPER training covers everything required in CAL/OSHA CCR Title 8 sec. 5192. and FED/OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120, such as hazardous chemicals, improving the safety of workers and how OSHA regulations affect you.

Special Note About our Trainers: Trainers who teach any of the above training subjects shall have satisfactorily completed a training course for teaching the subjects they are expected to teach, such as the courses offered by the California Specialized Training Institute, the California State Fire Marshal’s Office, the University of California, or the U. S. National Fire Academy; or they shall have the training and/or academic credentials and instructional experience necessary to demonstrate competent instructional skills and a good command of the subject matter of the courses they are to teach. All Workforce Safety Trainers meet or exceed this requirement.
***Special Note: Trainees must have additional training in donning, doffing and use of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required where they work. They must also get 40 hours of initial training before their first shift at the site and at least three days of supervised experience in the field. The field experience is the responsibility of the employer/place of business.
***Special Note: Those employees who are trained in accordance with CAL/OSHA CCR Title 8 sec. 5192.subsection (q)(6) of the regulation are to receive annual refresher training of sufficient content and duration to maintain their competencies, or shall demonstrate competency in those areas at least yearly.
